Marion Cotillard. Oh my goodness no words. She’s likely one of the most stunning woman on the planet. I’m in love.

Last night i lived vicariously through the Instagram updates of Jamie Beck of From Me To You and Lilliana Vazquez of Cheap Chicas. These lucky ladies were front and center at the fashion industry’s biggest, and most glamorous party of the year. The 2012 Met Gala.

Because this is likely as close as i’ll ever get to all the glamour, here are my dream selection of the nights best dressed. The fashionista dreamer in me has scanned through several fashion sites ultimately ending with my favorite, fashionologie. Here is yet another session of incredibly stunning gowns and accessories paraded at last nights gala.
These are in no particular order – i just adore them all. See my personal anecdote under each photo. Let’s see if we agree.
January Jones in Versace. Stunning canary yellow with slick cuts on the bodice giving the look of a feminine armor. Perfection.
Lea Michele in Diane von Furstenberg. She’s impossibly tiny. This color and cut suits her well.

Jessica Alba. Golden Grecian goddess.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy. The details on the lace is simply spectacular and rich. And this is just what the photo was abel to capture. Imagine in real life? Wow! This could very well be my top favorite of the night.

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana. The beaded details and mermaid bottom – classic and fitting. Scarlett is just insanely stunning. My girl crush for sure.

Ginnifer Goodwin. The detailed collar and the citrusy vibrancy of this gown. Enough said. Ginnifer Goodwin never disappoints.

Emma Roberts. Another vibrant color in line with the seasons citrus pallet. I love accent of the thin blue belt cutting through.

Eva Mendes in Prada. Bella Bella Bella. I love everything about this dress… and lately i find myself drawn to all sorts of peplum dresses. So feminine.

Beyoncé in Givenchy. This woman had a baby a couple of months ago and look at her. Incredible. But i’m still trying to convince myself on the dress. She had them all waiting… was it worth the wait?

Scaled in metal, Carey Mulligan seen here wearing Prada, looks like a goddess. Nothing out of place.

  1. I agree, it was a hot mess and this may be due to the fact that I am personally sick of her. Another personal thought is she simply puts a little twist on what Janet Jackson has already done, which doesn't make her that original. Just saying… in my opinion.

  3. I'm jumping on this ladies:

I admittedly was excited to see what she would pull off… considering its the biggest night for fashion and she just had a baby. Well, the initial photos were very flattering so i was cheering for Bey. But then the other angles and better look of the details came in and i was immediately turned off.

It was too busy. She was trying way too hard. no bueno.
