October, my favorite month of the year is finally here! Well, favorite after my birthday month of May of course.  This is the time of year where the weather gets a little cooler, the leaves begin to change, the air is a little crisper and the pollen is wild. Yeah, its also allergy season and it’s killing me! My happy world is a cloudy foggy blur that no amount of meds can fix. Bleh!

Brooklyn’s Atlantic Antic is also around this time and this year it so happens to fall in October.  Atlantic Antic is a fun street festival spanning 10 blocks filled with local vendors offering food, art, music, craft, super great vintage finds and more. Truly a fun friendly and family oriented fair.  I’ve looked forward to this day ever since i first attended last year.

Here are some photos of my day – as much as i could manage before the rain sent us all running for cover.  When going to a street festival, what’s the first thing you look for? I go directly to the food because there’s nothing more delicious than street food. Ha!

Atlantic Avenue where it all begins (do you see that bubble?)
The first thing i eat at every street fair is a Mozzarepa. Corn bread and mozzarella cheese sandwich. A little piece of heaven
Mozzarepa de mi vida. Delicioso!
A bit of Bluegrass music
One of my very good friend is expecting her first child so we couldn’t help but stop and coo over these adorable little baby booties and toys. These are by Mani Mina and they have many wonderful children clothes and accessories to chose from.
I picked up this cute black sequin clutch from a vintage vendor. It was only $8 and a great find. It’s light and lined with black satin on the inside. I especially liked it because it feels like the type of clutch that easily transitions from night to day.
Three Red Bikes
Medicine bottles. There was something a little erie about them… :-/
Beautiful vintage furniture by COLLIER WEST.  Collier West are in the midst of opening their Brooklyn store just a few days away. They had some amazing pieces on display and promised more once open… including a jewelry. I was sold. I’ll be paying them a visit as soon as they are settled.

Stunning short and long coats by ANYA PONOROVSKAYA. I loved her use of bright and vibrant colors. Goes perfect with the resent color blocking season. I also like its vintage feel – very Mad Men-ish.
So there you have it. It’s the start of the week so make it a great one. And watch out for the vicious pollen to those who like me suffer from allergy. It’s evil.
