It’s a quarter to midnight on Sunday evening as i write this post and i find myself bored with the inundating weather updates, no pun intended, on the approaching hurricane “Sandy.”  As if you didn’t already know this.  I respect storms and i most definitely respect natures fury but this florida girl is not bitting.  (this insensitive Florida girl failed to realize that unlike florida, new york is not built to sustain these types of storms.  i feel horrible.)

But i do think the city is doing a great job in preparing the community for a force most New Yorkers aren’t familiar with.  Supermarkets earlier today were insane and some of the groceries i spied were even more insane.  Original New Yorkers you suck at hurricane preparation!  I chuckle in your face and side-eye you hard.  HARD. (again, i am an ass. my area was not affected as much but gosh all those in the lower regions. sad.)
As for myself, i got the the essentials: wine, bread, fruits, water, candles, wine, cheese, tuna, crackers, wine, pringles, wine…wine.
In all honesty i pray not much damage is done and that we all remain safe.  Smart and safe.  I’m confident the North East can survive this Frankenstorm.
We are badly beaten but we will get back up on our feet.  And so on that token, if anyone would like to make a monetary donation you can do so here and here.

If you live in the New York are and were not terribly affected by the storm and would like to contribute your time or donate some goods, please look through the list provided below.  Find a location near you and give whatever you can.  Help lift some spirits and lets get this great city back on its feel again.

I LOVE NEW YORK
